This Gorgeous Georgian Walnut 6 Drawer Chest is in great condition having a Rectangular, Cross Banded, Ogee edged Top sat above Two Large Drawers, Cross Banded with Quarter Panel Veneers. following on to One Large Single Drawer again Cross Banded etc, flowing down to Two Square Fronted Drawers, Interspaced by One Single Small Drawer, again all with Cross Banding to the Edges, all of Dovetail Construction, running Smoothly, Oak Drawer Linings, fitted with Brass Escutcheon Plates and Handles, ending with a shaped Freize, all supported upon Four Cabriole Legs. The Sides are also Cross Banded. The Legs are possibly a Later addition, as we think this could possibly of been a chest on Stand. The Large Drawer has had 2 stiffeners added internally at some point giving it rigidity. There is a very fine shrinkage split to the top, which is stable, but this is to expected with items of this age, but does not detract from this beautiful quality piece of furniture giving plenty of storage that would look great in any room in the Home.
